Beale Family HousingThe Military Housing Office (MHO) is ready to support you in the transition to your new home and community. Use the resources provided to become familiar with the housing options and support services available to you. When you arrive at Beale Air Force Base please visit the MHO to receive counseling and guidance before entering into any written lease or rental/sales contract for housing. 

RESIDENT ADVOCATE

Privatized Housing Resident Advocates (RA) empower military residents to identify and resolve privatized housing challenges across Air Force installations. The Resident Advocate reports directly to the Installation Commander, advocates for housing residents and advises senior staff and leadership across the Wing. Resident Advocates are key advisors to Wing leadership and are responsible for crafting, leading and executing the strategy of critical advocacy services on behalf of military members and their families. RAs focus on maximizing mission readiness by driving a culture which ensures military members and their families live in safe, healthy and secure privatized housing residences. The RA organizes and maintains the Resident Council on behalf of the Installation Commander which meets quarterly. The Resident Council provides an opportunity for privatized housing residents to discuss health, safety and quality of life concerns with 9th Reconnaissance Wing leadership, the Military Housing Office and Balfour Beatty Communities (BBC). Lastly, the RA interacts with the community to ensure and sustain a positive relationship with BBC and the Military Housing Office. However, if complaints are not resolved, it is the RA's duty to relay that complaint to Wing leadership for resolution.

WHAT IS HEAT?

Housing Early Assistance Tool (HEAT) creates an easy on-line experience to connect you, the Service Member, with your future destination and offers an on-line venue to obtain housing assistance prior to a PCS transfer. HQ Air Force Housing has successfully implemented HEAT across the AF Enterprise so members can reach out to installations when preparing for transition. Installations are accessible through the HEAT tool across CONUS and most OCONUS installations. Members should use HEAT when preparing to transfer to their new assignment.
